The Role:

A client of mine that operates within the media and marketing industry now has an opening for a Python Developer to join thier established team in Central London. In this role, the sucessful candidate will be tasked with the design, delivery, implementation and support of Python applications.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years commercial Python development experience.
  • Experience supporting Python or Golang based applications
  • Experience using various databases  for example, MySQL, PostgreSQL and MongoDB
  • Good knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience using them in a professional environment.

Salary: £45k-£55k per annum

Senior DevOps Engineer

The Role

My client is a software house based on the south coast that for the last decade have been developing products for the Travel and tourism industry. As a result of their continued success demand for their products continues to increase exponentially.

They now have a need for a talented and dynamic Senior DevOps Engineer to ensure the efficient deployment of code whilst providing support to the development teams during the production phases of the development lifecycle.

The ideal candidate should have a wealth of experience of working and supporting commercial products to be taken to market. Being able to define and use the appropriate DevOps tooling is essential. The successful candidate will be required to implement and manage monitoring solutions and produce performance reports where necessary.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a senior DevOps role, mentoring and coaching lower level engineers.
  • Experience working in a cloud environment
  • Experience with the following technologies; Elastic, Beanstalk, Docker, Kubernetes, Git, Lambda, Ansible, Packer, Terraform, PostgreSQL
  • Comfortable working to and defining SLA’s

Responsibilities;

  • Building hosting environments
  • Monitoring the status of these environments and resolving issues if/when they arise
  • Troubleshooting production issues
  • Take responsibility for the CI/CD pipeline
  • Represent the DevOps department in internal and client meetings
  • Ensure documentation is produced and maintained effectively
